The Lagos State Government, through the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), has commenced the distribution of Learning Tablets to secondary schools across the state as part of its drive to enhance teaching and learning through digital technology.

The initiative, the state government announced, which kicked off in Education District II, underscores Lagos State’s commitment to integrating technology into classroom instruction and improving students’ academic performance across public schools.

Omotayo Layemo Sanni, Tutor-General and Permanent Secretary of Education District II, says the initiative aligns with the state’s education reform goals aimed at equipping teachers and students with tools for 21st-century learning.

“The learning tablets should be used judiciously to enhance students’ academic performance and not as private property of any teacher,” Sanni cautions.
