Chinese technology company, Lenovo has launched the Lenovo IdeaPad Y910, a premium Y series gaming laptop for Virtual Reality games.
The new IdeaPad Y910 gaming laptop supports the most advanced experiences that 4K gaming and VR have to offer with crisp frame rates and reduced screen tearing, according to Lenovo.
Explaining its difference with the other Y series gaming devices, the company says that “we designed them to do one thing: give gamers hardware that powers immersive game experiences. And we’re upgrading our most premium Y series gaming laptop to handle the next frontier of immersive, interactive entertainment – virtual reality (VR) gaming.”
The virtual reality game device is built with a pro-level graphics card, a speedy processor, lots of RAM and a super fast hard drive, to enrich the gaming experience, Lenovo says.
“The IdeaPad Y910’s goes beyond these core components with the latest NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB graphics card, up to a 6th Gen Intel Core i7 K series processor, up to 64GB of DDR4 memory and up to lightning fast solid-state drives (SSDs) and hybrid drives (SSHD). We think this combination will help you better focus on beating your opponents instead of whether your gaming laptop can keep up,” Lenovo adds.
For extra edge while in-game, Lenovo added the one key turbo button that lets players to instantly boost CPU performance, enabling them to do this with just a click of a button with no reboots needed.
“In gaming, keyboards must be super responsive. A slow keyboard is like running a race with a sprained ankle. In addition to its precision touchpad with anti-slip textured palm rest, the IdeaPad Y910 sports a high-accuracy mechanical keyboard with customizable macro keys, 2mm key travel, ultra-fast 1ms switch key response time, and anti-ghosting for simultaneous keystrokes. It’s even got programmable backlighting with multiple color combinations and lighting effects across seven individual lighting zones,” the company further says.
The IdeaPad Y910 includes up to high-speed Killer DoubleShot Pro Ethernet, an Internet connectivity booster, and Wi-Fi technology to boost internet connectivity when gaming and streaming online.
To top it off, Lenovo says it designed the IdeaPad Y910 to handle the extra power and speed produce during long gaming sessions by creating a self-regulating fan speed, new rear exhaust design, and air intake ports on the bottom of the IdeaPad Y910’s 4.6kg brushed metal chassis with an anti-smudge rubberized coating.
The device, which has 17.3-inch Full HD (1920×1080), display with in-plane switching (IPS) anti-glare technology. This technology provides vivid detail and color through nearly 180 degrees of wide-angle viewing.
It also comes with built-in 2x 2W JBL speakers and 3W subwoofer with Dolby Home Theater for multidimensional surround sound, as well as support for up to three separate displays for cinematic viewing make it ideal for nearly any use.
