After over one year of global researches through focus groups and surveys to determine what types of reactions people would want to use most, Facebook has eventually launched Reactions.
Reactions is an extension of the Like button, the social networking service says though, apart from Like, Facebook users now have the options of Love, Haha, Wow, Sad and Angry reactions to updates in the News Feed to express love, laughter, surprise, sadness and anger respectively.
To add a reaction, Facebook says you should hold down the Like button on mobile or hover over the Like button on desktop to see the reaction image options, then tap either Like, Love, Haha, Wow, Sad or Angry.
“We have been testing Reactions in a few markets since last year, and have received positive feedback so far. Today, we’re excited to offer it to everyone who uses Facebook around the world,” Sammi Krug, Product Manager at Facebook says.
