Chief Uche Geoffrey Nnaji, Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, has called for collaboration from stakeholders to harness science and technology for unlocking opportunities for Nigeria’s socio-economic growth.
Nnaji, who made this appeal at the Sectoral Retreat on the Implementation of Presidential Priorities, Ministerial Deliverables, and Performance Management System held in Abuja, says that stakeholders, Ministries, and agencies need to work collaboratively in harnessing Science and Technology to unlock new opportunities for national growth, job creation, and improving the quality of life for Nigerians.
Nnaji sees Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) as critical drivers for realising President Bola Tinubu’s eight Presidential Priorities, which focus on economic growth, social inclusion, infrastructural development, and good governance.
“Our Ministry plays a crucial role in realising these priorities, especially through the advancement of Science, Technology, and Innovation. Achieving this requires hard work, dedication, and strong collaborations across the entire STI ecosystem,” Nnaji says.
