At a gala dinner marking the close of GLG 2025, MTN Group announced the winners of the Million Dollar Challenge for 2024.

Among the accolades, MTN Nigeria’s award underscores its ongoing commitment to strengthening risk management practices and enhancing operational stability across its markets.

MTN Nigeria which currently accounts for 51.79% of Nigeria’s telecoms market share, according to statistics obtained from Nigeria’s telecoms industry regulator, is the second largest market of MTN group, contributing 23.0% to the group’s overall service revenue as at Q3 2024.

The GLG event, which gathers senior executives from over 20 African markets, offers the group a chance to reflect on the company’s progress.

“Every year,” the telecoms group says, “MTN hosts a leadership gathering (GLG) that offers us the chance to reflect on our progress, recalibrate our strategies, and renew our commitment to advancing digital and financial solutions for Africa. This special time allows us to connect with colleagues from across our markets.”
