Multichoice Africa now has a special pop-up channel on its digital satellite TV service, DStv, to honour boxing legend, Muhammad Ali, who passed on last week.

Quoting the boxing ring legend who once said that “champions aren’t made in the gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them – a desire, a dream, a vision”, Multichoice Africa says the pop-up channel initiative is its own special way of paying tribute to the departed boxer who during his boxing days also made Africa proud.

The special pop-up channel on DStv channel 199 which popped up Saturday 4 June is programmed to run until Sunday 12 June at 11:30am CAT (Central African Time).

Multichoice Africa says the tribute channel will broadcast the legend’s greatest fights, interviews and documentaries about his life.

DStv subscribers on the English packages: Premium, Compact Plus, Compact, Family and Access plus the Portuguese bouquets on Bue, Grande and Facil will be able to tune in to celebrate the boxing legend’s life, the cable TV company says adding that the schedule for the channel will be available on the TV guide.
