NAPPS: Deal to provide digital learning solutions to over five million private school students in Nigeria
The MoU outlines a comprehensive plan that includes the distribution of laptops to students, the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into educational curricula, and the establishment of a robust digital infrastructure to support learning.
The partnership marks a significant milestone in the NAPPS’ efforts to enhance educational outcomes in Nigeria, according to Chief Eze Nwosu, NAPPS President.
Founded in 2006, NAPPS represents private school owners across Nigeria and advocates for quality education and improved learning environments. The association has been at the forefront of educational reform, pushing for policies that enhance the standards of private education in the country.
The Digital Learning Network, based in the United States, specializes in leveraging technology to transform education in developing countries.
With a focus on providing affordable digital solutions, DLN says it aims to bridge the educational divide by equipping students with essential skills needed for success in a rapidly evolving global economy.
“This collaboration is not just about technology; it’s about empowering students with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive,” Thomas Larmena, CEO of DLN, says. “By integrating AI into classrooms and providing access to digital resources, we are creating an inclusive learning environment that caters to diverse needs.”

The agreement outlines several key initiatives aimed at transforming education in Nigeria. The initiative will ensure that each student receives a laptop equipped with educational software and resources tailored to their learning needs.
The integration of AI into educational curricula will enable personalised learning experiences for students. By utilising data analytics, they say educators can tailor lessons to meet individual student needs, improving engagement and outcomes.
- The partnership will focus on building a robust digital infrastructure in schools, including high-speed internet access and interactive learning platforms. This infrastructure will facilitate seamless communication between teachers and students, enhancing collaboration and engagement.
- To ensure effective implementation of digital tools, comprehensive training programs will be provided for educators. These programs will equip teachers with modern teaching methodologies and technology integration strategies. A real-time monitoring system will be established to track student performance and engagement levels. This data-driven approach will allow for continuous improvement of educational strategies.
The collaboration between NAPPS and DLN signals a commitment to leveraging technology as a catalyst for change within the sector. “We believe that every child deserves access to quality education,” Larmena emphasises. “This partnership is a step toward realizing that vision by equipping students with the tools they need for success.”
