The Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has announced the Digital Broadcasting Africa Forum 2016 scheduled to take place from 11th to 13th May at Eko Hotels & Suites, Lagos, Nigeria.
According to a statement by NBC Deputy Director, Public Affairs, Mrs. Maimuna Jimada, the event is being organized by the Common Telecommunication Organization (CTO) and hosted by the NBC, with the theme of “Pan-Africa transition: Achieving Digital Migration Success”.
The event is a continuation of the successful Digital Broadcasting Switchover Forum Africa events that have taken place over the last decade, stating that these events have helped policy makers, regulators and operators from the African broadcasting and ICT sectors to map out their strategies for digital switchover, NBC says.
CTO and NBC are co-organizing this event to assist Commonwealth countries understand the various facets of Digital Broadcasting, consult with other stakeholders and find ways of addressing emerging challenges.
Ministers in charge of Broadcasting, ICTs, Broadcasting and ICT regulators, operating companies, law enforcement authorities and international organizations are expected to be in attendance.
