Lagos. March 21, 2013. The Nigerian Communications Commission has alerted over scam job posting on a job website inviting people to file applications for openings in the telecoms regulatory agency

Tony Ojobo, Director, Public Affairs, NCC, who warned of the alleged scam dissociated the telecoms regulatory agency from the job announcements.

Nsays that its attention has been drawn to an announcement on the website of JoblistNigeria asking qualified persons to fill positions of Economists, Accountants, Lawyers and Project Managers in the agency.
“The Commission wholly disassociates itself from this publication. The publishers are unknown, and are not consultants to the Commission, and have no authority of the Commission to publish such information”, Ojobo says.
The NCC executive says that, “For the avoidance of doubt, our recruitments are usually advertised on the Commission’s website and in the national dailies. Members of the pubic and prospective job applicants are advised to ignore the publication and its content. Anyone who acts on the advice of the content of this publication does so at his own risk.”
NCC says it will not take responsibility for persons who fall prey to the job scam noting that people who patronise the job website do so “at their own risk.”
