The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) is inviting young innovators able to use technology to transform communities to compete in the forthcoming Young Innovators Competition organised by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the UN specialised agency that coordinates the global ICT sector.
The winners of the competition will be announced at the ITU Telecom World 2015 holding October 12 to 15, 2015 in Budapest, Hungary .
According to the telecoms regulator, the best three entries will be part of Nigeria’s delegation to ITU Telecom World 2015 and entrants must be aged between 18 and 30.
These winners will be given opportunities to showcase their innovation to the International community at the Young Innovators Corner of the Nigeria Pavilion.
Entries should contain a brief of the innovation, indicating details of the technology being used and how it directly impacts people’s lives.
NCC says that entries should be sent in sealed envelope marked “Nigeria@ ITU Telecom World 2015 Young Innovators Competition” to Ms. Josephine Amuwa, Director, Policy, Competition and Economic Analysis Nigerian Communications Commission and by email to Ibrahim Galadima via galadima@ncc.gov.ng
