Edith Udeagu, the newly-appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NIRA) has assured that she will drive rev up uptake of the country’s online real estate, the DotNG, among the online community.
The Executive Board of Directors of NIRA recently named Udeagu as the new COO, a position she combines with the Secretary of the multi-stakeholder group that manages the nation’s Internet domain name, the DotNG.
Udeagu a career diplomat of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with a rich resume and good educational background from various institutions across the globe is expected to move NIRA to next level of the organization’s mandate.
Speaking on her appointment, Udeagu said that, “as a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) I promises to eagerly contribute my quota in re-engineering the .NG registry to boost the uptake by keeping to the best global industry standards in my new position as NIRA’s Chief Operating Officer and Secretary to the Executive Board, in addition to moving the brand higher in the near future with my wealth of experience in the IT industry”
Mary Uduma, President of NIRA said that Udeagu takes over from the Acting COO, Akinbo Cornerstone, who was seconded from the Board since July 2013 after the resignation of ex-COO of NIRA, Opeoluwa Odusan.
