The Nigeria Fintech Week 2024, scheduled to hold October 8 to 10, will bring the industry’s brightest minds to explore ways of accelerating FinTech in Africa, organisers have announced.

The FinTech Association of Nigeria (FintechNGR), organiser of the event, says that the 7th edition of its annual FinTech event, themed ‘Positioning Africa’s FinTech Ecosystem to Accelerate Inclusive Growth’, plans to bring together the brightest minds in the industry, explore cutting-edge innovations, and shape the future of FinTech in Africa.

The Nigeria Fintech Week 2024, says the organisers, offers a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs looking to take their businesses to the next level. Participants will have the opportunity to be mentored by leading fintech executives and connect with industry experts.

FintechNGR is a self-regulatory, not-for-profit, and non-political organization that is incorporated in Nigeria by the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC). As a member of the Global Fintech Hubs Federation, the association says it serves as a platform for the development of the financial technology industry in Nigeria. It provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and information among various stakeholders in the Nigerian financial technology services industry.

Since its inception, FintechNGR says it has been actively engaging with regulators such as the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), National Insurance Commission, and government officials at all levels to foster the growth of the Fintech ecosystem.

Registration for the event, which will be held at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos is free. Participants can choose to attend in person or virtually by clicking the link to register. Startup founders, investors, policy makers, and fintech enthusiasts are encouraged to join this dynamic event, FintechNGR says.

Attendees will have the opportunity to explore strategies for leveraging generative AI and promoting economic inclusion, as well as network with industry leaders and peers in the dynamic fintech sector.
