Xiang Pingnian, Managing Director at ZTE Corporation says Nigeria is an attractive market for players in the mobile handset and device business.
The Chinese technology company, ZTE Corporation, says it is driving fresh investments into the mobile phone market following the launch of different phone handsets in Nigeria.
The Chinese device maker says that with the new phones, a mix of low-budget smartphones and feature phones, it hopes to establish itself as a serious contender in the competitive Nigerian mobile device market by “finding its way into the hearts of Nigerians, just as it has across some other countries across the globe.”
The ZTE exec assures Nigerians that the newly launched phones which include Blade v7lite, BladeA910, Axon 7mini, Blade v7 max, BladeA452 and Axon7, and entry level feature phones are affordable because ”we understands the present economy of the country today.”
According to him, ”ZTE has started its open market operation in the Nigerian tech market with the launch of brand new and affordable phones, which will hit the shelves of over 400 reputable shops across the country.”
Pingnian, who dropped the hint during press conference in Lagos says that, ”our products meet Nigerian Standard and Nigeria is a country to do mobile business.”
Also speaking at the event Mr. Shen Hui, Vice President, ZTE Corporation, described his company drive for the best as the beauty of technology

According to the ZTE exec ‘Innovation and beyond’ is the company’s global strategy for 2016, he affirmed that the powerful combination of technology and imagination will unlock endless potential.
“We aim to create technical breakthroughs with the powerful merging of technology and imagination to contribute to the development of human society”, he said.
“Now ZTE, having been in the handset industry for 18 years, we are working with global industry chain partners, listening to our consumers, creating innovative products for everyone, and letting them enjoy the smart life. On its Corporate Social Responsibility, ZTE has been sponsoring five NBA teams and four famous European football clubs till date”
“For sure, one day we will have our sponsored sports team in Nigeria, and the day is not far from now”, Hui says, adding that the newly launched smartphones hope to exceed consumers’ imagination.
