The popular reality TV show, the Nigerian Idol Season IV saw the last standing six contestants performed over the weekend after Jesse Jay and Lisa were ousted based on the result of the vote cast by viewers.
The contestants: Beebee Bassey, Elvis Jay, Zolani, Eye-D, Antwon and Evelle, went through two different rounds of performances, to the cheer and applaud of the studio audience for stellar performances.
The six contestants thrilled the audience with different Nigerian Hip Hop songs from Don Jazzy, Dbanj, Tuface, P-Square, Frank Edward, Kcee, Davido, Majek Fashek and Asha through the rounds.
Zolani and Evelle however got 10 points upon 10 from the judges for their stellar performances. Zolani performed ‘Send Down the Rain’ by Majek Fashek while Evelle performed Asa’s ‘Be my man’ and Kcee’s ‘Limpopo’.
Speaking after the show, Idiare Atimomo, Manger, Youth Segment, Etisalat Nigeria said that he is impressed with the progress the show has recorded.
According to him, “I am happy with the progress of the show, this has given us another reason why we should continue to support the youth. Nigerian Idol show represents the biggest music platform for young Nigerians who desire to become the next big star in music. At Etisalat we will continue to support Nigeria’s immensely talented youth.”
Viewers are expected vote for contestants who should continue in the battle for the ultimate prize. Who gets prize? Only time will tell.
