Deebee Company Limited has joined the league of organisations that have acquired africa.com domain name, the company has announced.
The company recently launched its website with africa.com domain name in what the company headquartered in Ogun state and with a regional sales office in Lagos reckons will boost its product range including wines, juices and bottled water.
Peter Coker, Marketing & Global Brand Director of DeeBee Company Limited, says “we are thrilled to officially launch deebeewines.africa.com and are excited about the opportunities ahead for our established brands, as well as our future product line.”
Ope Odusan, Africa.com Managing Director of Domain Name Services, says that “the africa.com domain along with the DeeBee business name, brings unmatched visibility to potentially reach the fastest growing economies of the world with Africa’s one billion citizens.”
Other companies with the africa.com domain name include sandtonhair.africa.com, muweti.africa.com, marksandspencer.africa.com, europcar.africa.com, hansgrohe.africa.com, sherwinwilliams.africa.com, lego.africa.com among others.
Africa.com is now looking to bringing a proprietary “build your own website” tool to help African entrepreneurs grow their companies online, Odusan says.
Teresa Clarke Africa.com Chairman and CEO, says “We will be training young people coming out of school on how to build websites.  We are focused on bringing African businesses online to improve economic development, and create jobs for Africans across the continent.”
