Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NIRA), managers of Nigeria’s .ng Internet domain name has extended the nomination period for the NIRA 2018 .ng awards scheduled to hold in Lagos.
NIRA says the extension of the nomination period was to ‘ensure active participation of all stakeholders.’
Nomination for the .ng awards commenced on Friday, March 16, 2018 and was to close at midnight on Friday March 30, 2018 now gets a one month extension.
”Nomination for the .ng Awards by the general public has been extended to midnight Monday 30th April, 2018. Members of the public are invited to nominate worthy organizations based on laid down criteria. Kindly visit http://www.nira.org.ng/nomination/nominate.php”, NIRA says in a statement posted on its Facebook page.

”We appreciate the active role(s) everyone is playing in developing the DNS industry in Nigeria.The .ng string is a critical National resource and Nigeria’s unique identity on the World Wide Web.”
NiRA seeks to recognise and acknowledge those who are contributing to the growth of the .ng domain name registration and promotion of the DNS Industry. Using the .ng Awards, NIRA celebrates the achievements and innovation of Nigerian Internet initiatives.
The .ng award which now in its 3rd edition seeks to recognize and acknowledge those who are contributing to the growth of the domain name registration and the promotion of the Domain Name System (DNS ) industry in Nigeria.

After the shortlist of the nominees, we solicit for your active participation to vote for your preferred candidate”, NIRA adds.
