NIRA holds annual general meeting next week

The Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA) will hold its annual general meeting next Wednesday in Lagos to review progress made by the body responsible for managing the nation’s Internet domain name.

According to NIRA, the sixth AGM comes up on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, at the Muson Centre, Onikan, Lagos.

According to the notice issued out to NIRA members, the agenda of the meeting include the receipt of the annual report and financial statement for the year 2013 financial year, together with the auditor’s report.

The meeting will also receive the business plan and budget for the 2014 financial year and the consideration of other business that any member may properly bring before the meeting.

NiRA was founded in 2005 as a stakeholder-led organisation, responsible for the management of Nigeria’s country code Top Level Domain Name (ccTLD), dot ng.
