The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) is partnering with Doballi, a Dubai-based AI-powered recruitment platform, in a new initiative that is creating global remote job opportunities for Nigerian tech professionals.
The collaboration, which is being formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), is responding to the challenge of low job placement currently facing Nigerian tech professionals, despite the country’s vibrant and rapidly evolving digital ecosystem.
NITDA says it is training tech talents to rigorous, industry-ready standards and is onboarding them onto Doballi’s AI-driven platform. These professionals are then being connected with global employers who are seeking to hire vetted African tech talent for remote digital roles.

Under the agreement, NITDA is acting as a sustainable pipeline of skilled professionals, while Doballi is taking responsibility for institutional networking and agency collaboration to facilitate candidate placements in the international job market.
Mr Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, Director-General, NITDA, says that the partnership is delivering value beyond employment. “This partnership is not only creating a pipeline for sustainable digital jobs, but also visibility for social and economic data for policy and decision makers,” Mr Abdullahi states.
Mrs Nneoma Ijei, Country Director, Doballi, adds that the impact of the partnership is extending to the broader economy. According to her, “we are confident that this collaboration is creating remote job opportunities for Nigerian tech talents and promoting economic advancement and professional growth across the country.”
With global demand for digital skills on the rise, they say that the initiative is offering career advancement pathways for Nigeria’s emerging tech workforce, while reinforcing the nation’s position as a growing hub of digital innovation.
