The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and Nihilent Nigeria, a subsidiary of Nihilent, an India-based consulting and solutions integration company, are calling for nominations for the “2014 NITDA-Nihilent e-Governance Awards.”
The awards will be presented during the e-Nigeria Conference to recognise and promote excellence in implementation of e-Governance and ICT initiatives.
The e-Governance awards will be awarded under five categories, including best state government, best local government, best MDA, best web presence and best e-Governance project.
“We must proactively invest in IT in order to consolidate on the gains of past investment in the sector,” Peter Jack, Director General, NITDA.
Nihilent will work with NITDA in designing a comprehensive evaluation framework for the awards.
“Nihilent has been championing the cause of e-Governance in India for over a decade now, by sponsoring the prestigious Computer Society of India (CSI)-Nihilent e-Governance awards.“The awards, helmed by the pioneers of e-Governance in the country, have achieved the highest levels of respectability and repute,” Oti Ikomi, Chairman, Nihilent Nigeria.
