NITDA website gets makeover

National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) website has been enhanced to improve user experience on its Internet real estate.

The new NITDA online now sports an attractive interface with some aesthetically-appealing features that also provides a much improved experience for visitors to the website of the nation’s IT implementing agency.

The website is now better segmented to provide useful information, news updates and upcoming events from the agency while the links are now positioned at corners on the site for improved reading.

The website also feature a user forum where members interact with each other , share ideas and receive support directly from the agency.

Facebook, Twitter, YouTube are social tools incorporated into the website to reach new members and help existing members stay in touch with the agency.

NITDA was created in April 2001 to implement the Nigerian Information Technology Policy and co-ordinate general IT development in the country.

 It was established to create a framework for the planning, research, development, standardization, application, coordination, monitoring, evaluation and regulation of Information Technology practices, activities and systems in Nigeria.

It also play a statutory role  to develop IT in the country through regulatory standards, guidelines and policies. Additionally, NITDA is the clearing house for all IT projects and infrastructure development in the country. It is the prime agency for e-government implementation, Internet governance and general IT development in Nigeria.
