Nigeria hit by over 4000 cyber attacks daily, Nitroswitch says

Nigeria records over 4000 daily incidents of cyber attacks, a development that underscores rising cyber threats across the country, according to tech security company, Nitroswitch.

Nigeria records over 4000 daily incidents of cyber attacks, a development that underscores rising cyber threats across the country, according to tech security company, Nitroswitch.

Systems, networks and programs come under digital attacks with number exceeding 4000 daily, Nitroswitch, a Nigerian tech company and cybersecurity said on its website, underscoring the need for organisations to seek expert advice.

‘Breaches will occur… It’s just a matter of “when,” not “if, Nitroswitch said, noting that the security landscape has changed dramatically in recent years.”

Nitroswitch: Cyber attacks getting more aggressive

Nitroswitch, founded over five years said that the daily recorded incidents of over 4000+ cyber attacks occurring in Nigeria means that organisations need to take more proactive measures.

These cyber attacks have become more aggressive, persistent, and proficient than ever at eluding and damaging the traditional security architecture, according to the Nigerian technology company.

As such, Nitroswitch offers to play its role as cybersecurity expert, and the “exclusive reseller and solution provider for leading Israeli cyber defense company, CYE in Nigeria.” By developing a preventive and progressive turnkey solutions framework to help meet complex security challenges, the Nigerian technology company said it is fighting emerging threats and enabling provision of value-added and industry-specific solutions.

Cybersecurity, according to CISCO is the practice of protecting systems, networks, and programs from digital attacks. These cyberattacks are usually aimed at accessing, changing, or destroying sensitive information; extorting money from users via ransomware; or interrupting normal business processes.

To accomplish its goals, Nitroswitch said it provides clients with Real-time crisis management; Security Assessments and Penetration Tests; Architecture, Design and Code Reviews; Cybersecurity Training; Strategic Security solutions and Secure Development Lifecycle.
