Phillip Obioha, former Chief Operating Officer has transited to a non-executive director at Computer Warehouse Group (CWG) Plc, a frontline technology company in Nigeria.
Obioha led the former Communications division of the company to an enviable height before the switch, the company announced.
Obioha is a fellow of the Institute of Directors. He has more than 20 years of cognitive experience in the Information Technology industry.
He was trained as an Electrical Engineer, with specialisation in digital electronics at West Virginia University, Morgantown, West Virginia, USA. However, his mastery of financial engineering raises the bar in the realm of business finance. He also holds an MBA from the International Graduate School of Management (IESE), Navara, Spain.

He is also a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineer (IEEE, USA), Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG, corporate) and the Nigerian Computer Society (NCS). He was conferred with the Titans of Tech award by Technology Africa in 2015.
Commenting on the switch, James Agada, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, CWG Plc, says the Board of Directors will be strengthened as a result of his switch.
“During his service as the Managing Director of our former Communications Division and later the Chief Operating Officer of CWG Plc, he made remarkable impact both in the company and the industry at large. Hence, I have no doubt that his wealth of experience will make more impact on the company’s board even as a Non-Executive Director,” according to CWG CEO.
The Board of the company recently appointed James Agada as the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Company.
Prior to his appointment, Agada was the Chief Technology Officer of the Company. He has vast experience in consulting, software development, implementation and support.
Kunle Ayodeji was also appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of the company. Ayodeji is a seasoned professional with enormous experience in the fields of banking, financial consulting and private equity.
Austin Okere retains his capacity as the Executive Vice Chairman of the Company where he will continue to contribute to the continuous growth of the company through his wealth of knowledge in the ICT industry and entrepreneurial development, according to CWG.
