Software maker, Opera says it has extended its email service with a new tool, MailTrack, to help users track their email easily.
With this new feature, Opera says users will now know whether the recipients have read their messages or not, just like messenger apps like Facebook Messenger, Skype, WhatsApp and iMessenger do.
Although messenger apps are on the rise, the days of email are not gone and that is why Opera has designed MailTrack for Gmail, to bring some of the features common for instant messengers into email, the company says.
With MailTrack, users wouldn’t have to follow up their recipient with messages and phone calls just to ask if they saw what has been sent to them.
Another gain that MailTrack offer users include helping their emails become more relevant by getting rid of unnecessary follow up mails.
Over time, the extension will help users learn what works best, so they can improve their tactics and strategy when communicating with people, Opera says.
Users can then focus their follow-ups only on what is valuable to their recipients since they already know if their messages have been sent or not. Users can equally see the overall effect of their messages over time, Opera adds.
