If you expecting a device to plug into the 5G era, then the Oppo Reno7 smartphone is not for you.
But the absence of next-generation connectivity promised by 5G on the Oppo Reno7 does not diminish the spectacular 4G smartphone.
The Oppo Reno 7, according to the smartphone’s makers, supports cellular network standards ranging all the way from 2G to 4G but not 5G with all its promises of ultra-fast voice, video and data services.
The Oppo Reno series includes seven models but this particular one, the Reno7 proper is served smartphone consumers in two colours – Cosmic Black and Sunset Orange.

The Oppo Reno7 was released on April 2, 2022, with prices ranging from N151,000 to N180,000 depending on the source you choose to buy from or memory capacity.
The Oppo Reno7 smartphone uses Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by) with IPX4 water-resistant body and RGB ring light around the camera to support notifications as well as charging progress.
This smartphone uses an Adreno 610 GPU. It also uses Octa-core (4×2.4 GHz Kryo 265 Gold & 4×1.9 GHz Kryo 265 Silver) CPU.
The Oppo Reno7 also comes with WLAN (Wi-Fi), Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and USB Type-C 2.0 and USB On-The-Go but no radio. Its battery is a non-removable Li-Po 4500 mAh battery with fast charging 33W and reverse charging. The Oppo Reno7 comes only in the CPH2363 model.
The smartphone’s selfie camera has 1080p@30fps, gyro-EIS video with HDR and panoramic features while the main cameras have LED flash, HDR and panoramic features with 1080p@30fps, gyro-EIS video.

On the smartphone, you have two options for storage because the Oppo Reno7 comes in two different built-in storage capacities depending on your budget or preferences- (128GB 8GB RAM and 256GB 8GB RAM). This allows users to store their files, pictures, videos and other files on the Oppo Reno7 smartphone.
Users also have the option of expanding storage capacity since there is a slot for a microSDXC card specifically for large memory users and there is also universal flash storage 2.2.
The phone comes in a box containing a 33W adapter to match the phone’s spec, as well as a cable, a protective case and the phone itself.

In order to make the front of the phone more compact, Oppo says, the light sensor hole is hidden at the top of the screen of the smartphone.
“Screen protectors with poor light transmission, such as those that are coloured or darkened, may block the light sensor hole and affect the normal use of the phone”, the consumer tech firms says.
Oppo which this month marked its 18th anniversary says it is “the world’s fourth-largest smartphone brand,” serving customers in over 60 countries and regions in Europe, Asia-Pacific, Latin America, Middle East and Africa, and maintaining strategic partnerships with over 80 telecoms operators worldwide.
From its origins as a consumer electronics company, the tech firm says it has evolved into a full-service technology company that serves global users with integrated software, hardware, and service solutions, leading the development of smart devices and services in markets worldwide.
