Pan-Atlantic University (PAU) said it has embarked on a strategic exploration of collaboration with the University of the Witwatersrand in the field of fintech innovation.
This initiative was marked by the recent visit of Professor Chimwemwe Chipeta, Director of the Wits Fintech Hub at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, PAU said in a statement.
PAU highlighted that the visit focused on fostering partnerships and exploring joint opportunities in finance and fintech. Discussions centered on areas such as knowledge sharing, joint research projects on digital financial services for development, and the development of a framework for future collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
Professor Chipeta engaged with key faculty members at Pan-Atlantic University’s School of Management and Social Sciences, including the Sustainable and Inclusive Digital Finance (SIDF) research centre and the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) at Lagos Business School. These interactions were crucial in identifying potential synergies and areas where collaborative efforts could have a significant impact.
