Lagos. July 31, 2012: Panaftel Wireless, a new-entrant Broadband Wireless operator today announced the imminent commercial entry of its service billed for August 28, this year in Lagos into the Nigerian market.
Panaftel Wireless says it is a mobile network that aims at harnessing superior communications, skills and application of appropriate technology, by using a robust technology that supports voice, video, and data services, promoters of the new entrant service provider announced at a media briefing today in Lagos.
Panaftel Wireless (aka Proclaim360 Communications Ltd) hopes to be a Mobile Broadband Wireless operator of choice that is set to change the way Nigerians use the internet by providing affordable internet connectivity at true broadband speeds, according to the company statement.
“Powered by the award-winning iBurst technology, Proclaim360 offers a service unrivalled in Nigeria – broadband speeds of up to 2Mbps are easily achieved. Not only is our service fast, it is also highly mobile – enabling you access the Internet whether you are in the comfort of your home or office, or on the road.”
Panaftel Wireless says the first category of its products will be available when it launches commercial operations on August 28 noting that a pilot run was already underway with coverage available mainly on the Lagos mainland covering Surulere, Ikeja, Isolo, Ilupeju but also serving Ikoyi.
Chairman Panaftel Wireless, Oluremi Sogbetun says that the announcement was just a limited launch to acquaint the public with the roadmap of the organization, get their feedback, act on it and deploy a robust service to the entire public.
He adds that the company obtained a national broadband licence from the Nigerian Communications Commissions (NCC), the telecoms sector regulator about a year ago
The company aims at first covering major cities in the country in Lagos, Port-Harcourt and Abuja.
Chairman of the company says that “Panaftel wireless as a customer friendly company hopes to create an agreement with its customers that says “Panaftel Wireless will give you either free internet airtime or cash refund if we do not deliver the promised service of robust internet service.”
Chief Executive Officer of Panaftel Wireless, Victor Osagie adds that “Nigerians should have internet access everywhere we go, and to that Panaftel deploys a technology that doesn’t depend on closeness to the base stations, gives full connectivity even when moving in a car, enables pure and robust data broadband experience and built against weather challenges.”
Head Marketing Panaftel Wireless, Lekan Blaogun adds that the company also hopes to create job employments to people and build data private network for organizations that provide services who are willing to partner with them.
It also hopes to cover rural areas in order to educate, and ease the lives of the rural members through the availability of internet networks, he adds.
