
Following a terror attack in Paris, France last night, Facebook has activated its Safety Check application to enable people in Paris make themselves safe or not.
Announcing this on the social media platform, Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook says “We’ve activated Safety Check, so if you’re in Paris you can mark yourself safe or check on your friends and family: https://www.facebook.com/safetycheck/paris_terror_attacks”
At the release of the application last year, Zuckerberg said “Safety Check is our way of helping our community during natural disasters and gives you an easy and simple way to say you’re safe and check on all your friends and family in one place.”
