The Redmi Note 14 Pro Plus 5G has officially launched in Nigeria, with an array of features, including a “flagship” 200MP rear camera, Snapdragon 7s Gen processor, and 120W HyperCharge technology.

Available in Frost Blue, Midnight Black, and Lavender Purple, this new model smartphone offers premium specs at a competitive price:  ₦638,300 for the 8GB+256GB version and  ₦721,300 for the 12GB+512GB variant, according to Redmi.

Equipped with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display, the device features a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling with peak brightness reaching 3000 nits, the display ensures excellent readability even under direct sunlight. The screen is certified by TUV Rheinland for low blue light emissions, making it easier on the eyes during prolonged use. The standout feature of the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G is its 200MP AI-powered camera system, which includes a flagship-level main camera with a large 1/1.4″ sensor and f/1.65 aperture for superior low-light performance.

Enhanced with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), the Redmi Note 14 Pro + 5G camera delivers crystal-clear photos and stunning night shots. The system also offers 2X and 4X optical-grade lossless zoom, AI image expansion, and features like Motion Tracking Capture and Dynamic Shots for professional-level photography and videography.

Powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G delivers a performance boost, including a 30% AI performance upgrade over its predecessor. Xiaomi says the Qualcomm Snapdragon processor utilises ARM V9.2 architecture, providing strong multi-core capabilities. The device also includes VC cooling, which covers almost 5000mm² to handle high-load scenarios such as gaming and high-resolution video playback.

The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G boasts an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, making it resilient against submersion in up to 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes, according to Xiaomi.

The device also features Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the front and Gorilla Glass 7i on the back, providing enhanced drop and scratch resistance.

The device also features AI Film for automatic video creation, AI Ultra-Clear Portrait for sharp and natural-looking selfies, and AI Interpreter for real-time translation during conversations and meetings.

Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G integrates several AI-powered features like the AI Erase Pro which allows users to remove unwanted objects from photos, while AI Bokeh and AI Cutout help create professional-looking portraits with blurred backgrounds and subject isolation.
