The new realme 14X 5G smartphone, has made a market debut featuring an innovative SonicWave water ejection technology.

realme, makers of the realme 14X 5G, says the smartphone uses the speaker’s vibrations to expel excess water, offering users a reliable solution to unexpected water exposure.

This latest release was officially announced by the tech company on its website, showcasing the features of the device. The display of the realme 14X 5G boasts a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz, ensuring a seamless visual experience, complemented by 10 eye protection strategies. The screen size measures 16.94cm (6.67 inches) with a resolution of 1604×720 HD, peak brightness of 625nit, and a screen-to-body ratio of 89.97%.

Additionally, the realme 14X 5G features top-tier IP69 waterproofing, including an integrated foam seal, waterproof membrane, and liquid silicone protection, as well as military-grade shock resistance and Armorshell protection for added durability.

realme 14X 5G smartphone: What is under the hood?

Under the hood, the realme 14X 5G is powered by a Dimensity 6300 5G Chipset, featuring an octa-core CPU with a clock speed of up to 2.4GHz and an ARM G57 MC2 GPU. The device offers up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, with the option for up to 10GB of dynamic RAM expansion.

When it comes to charging and battery life, the realme 14X 5G is equipped with a 45W SuperVOOC Charge and a massive 6000mAh battery, ensuring long-lasting performance. The device also includes a 45W charging adapter with a USB Type-C port for convenience.

Available in jewel red, crystal black, and golden glow colour options, the sleek device is equipped with a 50MP OV50D AF Camera, offering a wide range of Photography Functions including photo, video, street shot, portrait, night scene, panorama, multi-view video, time-lapse photography, professional mode, slow motion, high pixel, pivot shift, hypertext, movie, and Google Lens integration.

Inspired by the elegance of oval cut diamonds and the vibrant colours of precious gems, the realme 14X 5G features a Diamond Design that exudes luxury and durability. With dimensions of 165.7mm in length, 76.22mm in width, and a slim depth of approximately 7.94mm, this device weighs just 197g.

Running on realme UI 5.0 and Android 14, the realme 14X 5G offers dual nano SIM slots that support either 1 SIM card and 1 SD card, or 2 SIM cards. Connectivity options include wireless and Bluetooth 5.3, along with audio enhancements such as a super linear speaker, OReality audio effect, dual-mic noise cancellation, and Hi-Res Audio Certification.

Additional features of the realme 14X 5G include a geomagnetic sensor, light sensor, proximity sensor, acceleration sensor, side capacitance fingerprint sensor, and flicker sensor. Priced at approximately ₦272,229.93, the realme 14X 5G smartphone is available for purchase on the realme online store.
