Samsung Electronics has introduced the Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition, saying the smartphone was exclusively designed for athletes competing in the upcoming Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024.

Samsung, a Worldwide Olympic and Paralympic Partner, says the Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition is the first-ever Olympic Edition to feature Galaxy AI, aimed at enhancing athletes’ experiences during the Games.

For the first time in Olympic and Paralympic Games history, athletes will be allowed to use the Galaxy Z Flip6 Olympic Edition on the podium during the medal ceremony to create personal memories. Samsung’s technology will sort the athletes’ selfies by sport and upload them to Athlete365 in real-time, allowing athletes to share these moments with family and fans, the smartphone maker says.

According to the tech giant, the device features a compact and versatile design in a striking yellow colourway, adorned with the Olympic rings and Paralympic agitos in gold.

Samsung says it collaborated with Parisian Men’s Luxury Maison, Berluti, to create an exclusive Flipsuit Case made from Venezia leather. Each case has a unique patina inspired by the Olympic rings, celebrating the Olympic spirit and values of excellence and unity.

“Samsung has pushed the boundaries of mobile technology in support of the Olympic and Paralympic Games and its athletes for nearly three decades,” Stephanie Choi, EVP & Head of Marketing of Mobile eXperience Business at Samsung Electronics says. “We are honoured to deliver our newest Galaxy innovation to the inspiring athletes of Paris 2024 and give them the opportunity to experience the powerful and intelligent Galaxy Z Flip6 firsthand, even before its official market launch. We are excited to see how our technology opens up athletes’ Games-time experience like never before — from creating meaningful connections to sharing and capturing lifelong memories while in Paris and beyond.”
