Samsung unfolds Galaxy Z Fold7: ‘Slimmest, lightest foldable yet’

Samsung has officially introduced its latest foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Fold7 one which the tech company has re-engineered to be its slimmest, lightest Fold ever.

Samsung has officially introduced its latest foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Fold7 one which the tech company has re-engineered to be its slimmest, lightest Fold ever.

Samsung claims the Z Fold7 as the thinnest, lightest Galaxy Z Fold yet at just “Folded 8.9 mm.” This is a significant reduction from the previous Galaxy Z Fold6 Folded of 12.1 mm. The device is also lighter by 24 g compared to its predecessor.

Samsung highlights that the smartphone is redesigned with a stronger FlexHinge, and the device is extremely durable as it is protected from bending, drops, and other physical damage. It is also protected from water and dust with its Ingress Protector (IP) 48.

“Armored in aluminum with an advanced Armor Aluminum frame with IP48 water and dust resistance. It also debuts our innovative Armor FlexHinge that now closes thinner and is more durable than ever” Samsung says. “ It is Incredibly tough from front to back as it is wrapped in an advanced Armor Aluminum frame and, for the first time in its foldables, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2” alongside “Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2.”

Galaxy Z Fold7 features most expansive screen on a Galaxy phone

Samsung says that display is a priority as whether folded or unfolded, Galaxy Z Fold7 exceeds expectations. It has an expanded 21:9 cover screen and it’s easier to hold than ever. It has a Main Screen across 8″ making it the most expansive screen on a Galaxy phone.

”It is perfect for photography enthusiasts with its 200MP which provides stunning As high resolution pictures. Compared to the Galaxy Z Fold which boasts of only a 50 MP Wide Camera.

“The Fold7,” Samsung says, “now boasts a rear camera array with 12MP Ultra Wide, 200MP Wide, 2x Optical Quality Zoom, 10MP Telephoto, 3x Optical Zoom and front cameras of 10MP Cover Screen, 10MP Main Screen.”

The technology company says the device can take breathtaking videos even in low light. The high-resolution sensor works together with its advanced “ProVisual Engine” to deliver richer contrast day or night and the noise reduction ensures the shots.

It features next generation AI tools, next-gen Galaxy AI on a large screen. Samsung highlights the “Galaxy AI erases” which removes unwanted objects in photos, letting users hide the original to get a better look at your edited photo in full view or show the original to view both versions side-by-side.
