Yudala Mobile Monday, which is one of Yudala’s major promotional tools has gained widespread following from shoppers nationwide, and is gradually occupying prime attention as a day on which to enjoy exclusively reduced prices and best deals on a wide range of mobile devices from the biggest brands including mobile phones, laptops, tablets, smart TVs and accessories, among others, according to Nigeria’s Yudala.
The company says that feedback it received from its various Experience Stores nationwide indicate that shoppers desirous of taking advantage of the exclusive deals on the over 500,000 mobile devices on offer, had begun to besiege the stores from as early as 7am, capitalising on the work-free Easter Monday holidays.
![The growing popularity of dual-SIM smartphones is also helping shape the market, with shipments of such devices increasing 34% year on year in Q4 2014. "Vendors such as Samsung and HTC launched variants of their flagship S5 and HTC One M8 models with dual-SIM capabilities," Isaac T. Ngatia, a senior research analyst at IDC Middle East, Africa, and Turkey adds. "Demand for such devices stems from the fact that a growing band of consumers want to enjoy cheap cross-network calls and offers from multiple telcos and therefore retain more than one SIM card for their personal use."](https://technologytimes.ng/wp-content/uploads/2014/12/Apple-iPhone-6-300x168.jpg)
Prince Nnamdi Ekeh, Founder/Vice President Yudala, says that the consumer technology service has recorded increasingly heavy traffic recorded on its website every Monday “coupled with the queues often witnessed at the various Experience Stores located nationwide.”
According to Ekeh, “apart from the fact that orders began pouring in online from the early hours of Monday, we have also detected a growing trend where some customers who place orders online would rather choose to pick up the item at the nearest Yudala Experience Store.”
He adds that, “this was quite noticeable for this Easter edition of Mobile Monday, especially among shoppers who were looking to present these devices as gifts to their loved ones and who would not want to encounter any delays with delivery. For those who chose the pay-on-delivery option, however, we surprised many of them with same day delivery as part of our Yu-Jara special Easter offer.”
According to Ekeh, “this is one of the additional advantages that come from shopping with Yudala.’’ He says the company’s chain of Experience Stores nationwide offers shoppers that convenience of intervening in the order placement and product delivery life-cycle as they can pick up from any of our stores nearest to them.
“Furthermore, customers can experience the product or device they have placed an order for or which they are yet to decide upon at our Experience Stores. Once they experience the look and feel of the device and see the products in action, the decision-making process quickens and they can immediately close the deal and walk away with the product.”
The Easter edition of the Yudala Mobile Monday which was powered by Intel and Lenovo, saw the HP 280 computer which went on sale at a give-away price of N89,999 enjoy huge demand during the flash sale which went live by 12noon, 3pm and 6pm, the company says.
Also featuring among the special attractions for this edition according to the company were a variety of bundles with Blackberry and Yezz mobile devices going away at heavily discounted prices. Kids were not left out as the Kids Tablet Touchpad from the Yudala Babies, Kids and Toys category also recorded significant spike in demand, with multiple orders processed online for the device.
