Skype has announced that users of its services now make real-time video and group video calling on Microsoft’s Edge browser.

Skype has announced that users of its services now make real-time video and group video calling on Microsoft’s Edge browser.

Microsoft’s video chat and voice service application on mobile, Skype mobile, has reached one billion downloads milestone, according to the U.S. technology giant.

The Skype application was first released in 2003, launched on Android in October 2010 and released mobile video calling later in 2010. Skype for iPad came in 2011 and Skype for wearables in 2015.

The Skype application has incorporated several features since launch with the latest versions coming with new features, like mobile group video calling, group video messaging and video message saving.
