Social media service, Skype says it is on a mission to turn the dreams of Liverpool Football Club (LFC) fans known as Kopites into reality by offering its users the opportunity to interact with their favourite LFC players via an exclusive video call.

One recent achievement by the social media service provider is that of three lucky Liverpool Football Club fans that had the opportunity to interact with Emre Can- Liverpool FC’s central midfielder via an exclusive group video call on Skype last week.

According to Skype, this achievement was made possible through its partnership with Liverpool FC early this year.

“When Skype partnered with Liverpool FC, our goal was to get fans closer to the matches and to their idols. We wanted Kopites all over the world to come together and share their passion for the club, while also getting the chance to access exclusive experiences, win unique prizes and match day tickets”, Skype says.

The three lucky winners, Harinder, Nina and Ste, joined Emre whose versatility was showcased in his debut season at Liverpool where he showed his ability to play in both defense and midfield, over Skype from the LFCTV studios.

Emre, who also plays for his German national team responded to the fans’ questions ranging from the best player he’s ever played against, to which football stars influenced him during childhood, and even how he styles his hair.

Describing the experience, Skype stated, “The great thing about the call was the fluid interaction that a Skype group video call provides—the next best thing to actually being there yourself. To add to the excitement, everything is in stunning HD quality. We also found out that Emre is an avid user of Skype already—using it to call family back home from wherever he is in the world.”

Skype said this was just one of the amazing prizes that were on offer to Liverpool fans through its collaboration, adding that there are plenty more opportunities to take part in future competitions and experiences.

To take part in the exclusive video calls plus win unique prizes including match day tickets, Skype said users should find out more on its partnership with Liverpool FC by visiting www.skypeliverpoolfc.com.
