A Canadian company, WeWi Telecommunication, has introduced the a sun-powered laptop into the vibrant technology market in Nigeria.
The tech company said it has introduced the device codenamed SOL into Nigeria to enable buyers to participate and benefit from the new economy that places emphasis on technology.

He reckons that the device will improve lives in the country through education, science and health, as it has come to solve the problem of access to electricity that limits the use of computers.
He also announced the company is talking to agencies such as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to deploy the laptop for general election purposes.
The company is selling each laptop for N100,000 (US$620) and is offering a 12-month warranty.
