Lagos. February 25, 2013: Sony Mobile Communications has introduced two of its latest product at the ongoing Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.

These products are Sony’s best ever premium waterproof smartphone and tablet combining its best display, sound, camera and camcorder experience as well as an exclusive entertainment offer and a growing ecosystem of companion products

The new Sony Xperia Z2 is a 10.1-inch tablet that is completely waterproof and replaces Sony’s existing Xperia Tablet Z.[blockquote right=”pull-right”]It is both thinner and lighter than the iPad Air, at just 6.4mm thick and weighing only 426g compared to the iPad’s 7.5mm and 469g frame, while being 0.5mm and 69g lighter than last year’s Sony Xperia Tablet Z.[/blockquote]

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 2.3GHz quad-core processor at its heart, new for this year, makes the Z2 tablet one of the most powerful available. Fitted with 3GB of RAM for multitasking, two storage options are available  16 or 32GB while the tablet has a microSD card slot for adding up to 64GB extra space, 4G connectivity is also included. As for battery life, Sony is quoting 10 hours of “multimedia usage” and 100 hours of music playback from a single charge of the Tablet Z2’s 6000mAh battery.
