Sony Xperia 10 IV: What’s Inside The Frosted Exterior Smartphone

The Sony Xperia 10 IV, the latest upgrade in the Xperia 10 smartphone series, has more than a notable exterior transformation.

The smartphone returns with a frosted finish on the back after two years of glossy panels and flat sides, unlike the predecessor series to the Sony Xperia 10 IV.

The new smartphone is lighter in weight shaving off 8gramme weight making it Sony’s lightest phone with 5G capabilities.

And there’s an increase in battery life which is now 5000mAh on the newer Sony Xperia 10 IV smartphone.

But things get more subtle on the inside of the smartphone with the Snapdragon 695, which replaces the 690 in last year’s model. The increase of 5 means a newer 6nm manufacturing process (8nm on the old one), as well as a slightly higher CPU clock on the Sony Xperia 10 IV.

The smartphone comes in four colours – black, white, mint, and lavender. It is built with a glass front (Gorilla Glass Victus), plastic frame, and plastic back body.

The Sony Xperia 10 IV was announced on May 11, 2022, and is expected to be released in June 2022. Its price ranges from N190,000 to N250,000 depending on the source you choose to buy from.

The Sony Xperia 10 IV smartphone uses Single SIM (Nano-SIM or eSIM) or Hybrid Dual SIM (Nano-SIM, dual stand-by) with IP65/IP68 dust/water resistant (up to 1.5m for 30 mins) body.

This smartphone uses an Adreno 619 GPU. It also uses Octa-core (2×2.2 GHz Kryo 660 Gold & 6×1.7 GHz Kryo 660 Silver) CPU. It comes with WLAN(wi-fi), Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, Radio, and USB Type-C 2.0 as well as USB On-The-Go.

The Sony Xperia 10 IV’s battery is a non-removable Li-Po 5000 mAh battery with fast charging, quick charge, and USB power delivery.

Its selfie camera has a 1080p@30fps video with HDR features, while the main cameras have LED flash, HDR, and panorama features with 1080p@30fps video.

There are no choices in terms of storage for the Sony Xperia 10 IV, so you don’t get to decide on which variety to go for. You’re left with only one option of the 128GB, 6GB RAM storage capacity, and even if the available memory capacity is not enough to store your pictures, videos, or any files at all, there’s a slot for a microSDXC card, so customers who wish to expand their storage capacity can do so. This microSDXC card shares the same slot as the SIM.

This phone comes in a white cardboard box with nothing but only the smartphone inside.
