Stanbic IBTC Bank says its planned upgrade of its core banking system on May 16 will affect certain banking operations that weekend.
According to a post on the bank’s website, Stanbic IBTC Bank branches will close to customers by 2.00pm (GMT+1) on Friday 13 May, 2016 and resume operations on Monday 16 May, 2016 at 8.00am (GMT+1).
The bank states that customers will however be able to carry out transactions using its self-service and electronic channels up till 11.59 pm (GMT+1) on Friday, 13 May, 2016.
“We are committed to continually improve your banking experience with us, and so, we are pleased to inform you that our upgraded core banking system will go live on 16 May, 2016”, the bank says.
“Part of the activities building up to the planned switch over on 16 May, 2016 is the cut-over window which commences at 12.00am (GMT+1) on Saturday 14 May, 2016 and will be concluded by 12.00noon (GMT+1) on Sunday 15 May, 2016”, the post states.
It further says that “during this cut-over window, you will not be able carry out transactions on all Stanbic IBTC channels.”
Stanbic IBTC Bank which apologised for the inconvenience the upgarde may cause “you when our channels are unavailable.”
