The Community Services Women and Youths Employment Project of SURE-P (CSWYE) said it has adopted ICT-based monitoring and evaluation process, while priding itself among very few institutions that have looked to technology for their monitoring process in Nigeria.
Clement Illoh, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Labor and Productivity told attendees at a workshop for CSWYE project that the online data collection and analysis tools now adopted for monitoring and evaluation will ensure adherence to implementation process.
“The Community Services Women and Youths Employment project is a palliative project aimed at giving succor to the vulnerable members of our society and you are trained on the use of high level Information Communication Technology in monitoring and evaluation to enhance your performance”, the Permanent Secretary said.
“The days of filling questionnaires carrying paper and biro are far gone, we are now in the ICT age where things are simplify through the use of technology”, added Illoh.
The ICT-based programme will help the Federal Government to make informed decision as to whether CSWYE is on course and if Government’s investment on the project is actually productive, according to the Permanent Secretary.
