President Bola Tinubu has commended Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State for embracing technology to promote economic growth in the state.
The President said this at the inauguration and commissioning of major projects in Enugu State that inlcuded 30 Smart Schools, patrol vehicles with AI-embedded surveillance cameras and a Control and Command Centre on Saturday.
“I have seen the gadgets and vehicles with 21st-century technology.” President Tinubu says. “Yes, you are indeed working for today, tomorrow and the future. My good friend Peter, we can go places together to build Nigeria and build the future. It is audacious to have this home filled with technology, and they are ready for use.”

During the inauguration of the command and control centre, the president expressed the significance of the projects. “This is a profound demonstration of what we can do together,” he says, expressing his delight at meeting children at the Smart Green School.
In a related development, President Tinubu has also pledged his administration support towards the development of the Anambra Basin expected to serve as a vital energy resource estimated to contain up to one billion barrels of oil and 30 billion cubic feet of gas.
Speaking during an interactive session with South East leaders in Enugu State on Saturday, the President underscores the importance of tapping into the basin’s potential for national growth and to secure energy.“ Gas is an alternative to petrol. There is no wasting of time than to invest more in it. We will do it together, and I am lucky I have good governors,” President Tinubu says, noting that the Anambra Basin is not only for the development of the South East region of the country, but the entire nation.
