Tizen OS dream kept alive with Samsung Z3

Samsung has launched the second-generation Tizen-OS based smartphone Samsung Z3, a mid range device which its maker says has everything you would need in a phone to make you stand out.

Its cool ultra modern design, sleek and slim looks and dazzling metal finish will give you the glam and style that will make you ultra cool, the tech company said at the official launch of its new entrant device.

The Samsung Z3 features a 5-inch super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels.The smartphone is powered by 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum processor coupled with 1GB RAM and 8 GB storage expandable to 128GB.

It sports an 8MP rear shooter with F2.2 aperture and a 5MP camera at the front capable of shooting wider 120 degree selfies. The front selfie camera also comes with features like auto selfie and beauty enhancement mode.

Samsung Z3 runs Tizen OS v2.4 which brings several UI enhancements and contextual services. Samsung also announced a new cricket game based on Unity gaming engine for Z3 smartphone.

Samsung claims the device would be “rewarding, engaging and efficient” and Z3 has the potential to beat the sales of its predecessor, Samsung Z1.
