Aduragbemi Akinpelu uncovers the top five affordable phones selling at ₦5000 and below that are gaining popularity among mobile consumers in Nigeria as of Q3 2021.

Top Five Affordable Phones Trends

Nigeria is home to teeming millions of consumers of mobile services like voice and data, who also need mobile devices for the delivery of these services.

With a market of over 190 million active mobile lines, and getting ready for the commercial rollout of 5G mobile technology with promises of faster transmission of triple-play services, the Nigerian market caters to a diverse range of mobile phones catering to the wallets and features appetites of consumers.

From the Bontel 3310 with camera capacity a step higher in its league with 0.8 Megapixels for users to shoot photos; to the QUBO X228’s 2000 mAh battery capacity that its makers claim can last up to five days or more when fully charged, Nigeria remains a thriving market for affordable phones.
