Toshiba’s Digital Products Division (DPD), has announced the expansion of its Canvio Basics storage lineup with the introduction of a 3 terabytes (TB) capacity portable hard drive.
According to the division of Toshiba America Information Systems, the 3TB Canvio Basics portable hard drive can store up to 856,500 digital photos, 789,000 digital music files or 2,460 downloaded digital movies and requires no software setup.
“Even as a portable device, consumers are looking for high-capacity options to keep up with their extensive content libraries,” said Maciek Brzeski, Vice President, Branded Storage, Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., Digital Products Division. “Our 3TB Canvio Basics provides high capacity storage in a simple solution.”
Users can connect the device right out of the box and simply connect to their PC to begin saving their digital files. The Canvio Basics portable hard drive supports USB 3.0 for rapid transfer speeds.
The 3TB Toshiba Canvio Basics portable hard drive will be available for purchase in March 2015 at various retailers and on Toshiba’s website, the company announced.
