The ‘Big Four’ mobile phone companies by subscriber numbers, MTN Nigeria, Airtel Nigeria, Glo mobile and Etisalat Nigeria, have so switched on 129,002,841 active connections by February this year and spread dial tones to the nook and cranny of Nigeria’s geographically-dispersed landscape.

The impact of the “Big Four” in our lives have also been manifest in how these mobile phone companies continue to foster innovation, economic growth and overall development among the economies of Nigeria, West Africa, Africa and beyond.

Today, mobile phones have become an indispensable part of our lives either for leisure or business as everything from their voice, SMS and data services enable us connect our business associates and loved ones.
