Twitter has announced that it is squeezing in new photo tagging and collage features on the fast-growing microblogging service.
Much like Facebook, users will now have the option of tagging people in images they tweet. You can now add four photos to a single tweet and for the first time, you can tag up to 10 friends in a Twitter photo, without taking away from your 140-character count the company said.
Twitter will send notifications to folks who are tagged and these settings can be adjusted in user settings. When you share multiple photos in one tweet, Twitter will automatically create a collage to display them.
The multiple-photos feature will roll out for iPhone users but support for Android and the Web is coming soon, Twitter says.
