Twitter announced Monday the launch of Stickers on Twitter, a fun new way to add creativity to photos and connect them to the world on Twitter.
The social network service says the feature will let users browse the sets of stickers to join in real-time conversations, and select from the library of hundreds of accessories to make photos more fun.
According to Twitter, users can use them to share what they are doing or how they are feeling, to show support for a cause, or to just add some flair.
Sticker manipulations like using multiple stickers on a photo, resizing and rotate them, as well as placing them anywhere on picture, would soon be available on this social media platform.
Explaining how it works, Twitter says that, “after you Tweet a photo with stickers on it, your photo becomes searchable in a new, visual spin on the hashtag. Tapping on a sticker in a Tweet takes you to a new timeline, where you can see how people all over the world use that sticker in different ways.”
The Stickers are limitless. You can place as many (or few) stickers as you like on an image, and each will remain searchable, Twitter says.
The ability to add stickers to your photos and manipulate them will be rolling out over the next few weeks for people using Twitter for iOS and Android. Users would also be able to view and click stickers on Twitter.com.
