UBA tweets banking transaction alerts

United Bank for Africa (UBA) has introduced a secure custom application that allows its customers to receive their transaction alerts in their Twitter direct messages inbox.

According to the bank, the value added service will allow customers who register for the service to receive transition alerts on their Twitter handle.

“When you enroll for this service, you’ll receive transaction alerts, as direct messages on your twitter handle. This service does not replace SMS alerts on your mobile phone”, the bank said.
