Umidigi has launched the Umidigi G9 5G which the smartphone maker touts as the most affordable 5G smartphone in the world.

Umidigi unveiled the G9 5G at the 2024 Global Sources Mobile Electronics Show held recently in Hong Kong, according to the Chinese technology company.

The G9 5G has gained significant attention due to its remarkably low price point of N122,067 (approximately $99.99), potentially becoming the world’s most affordable 5G smartphone.

The G9 5G Specifications

While the company has not released its official specifications, here is what we know. The device features 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Additionally, benchmark scores reportedly reached 400,000 points, suggesting competitiveness within its price range.

The G9 5G is also equipped with the UNISOC T765 chipset, known for its efficiency and performance within the budget segment. For battery life, the device is powered by a 5000mAh battery. 

The camera is also equipped with a 50MP main camera, 8MP front camera, and 2MP depth and macro camera, according to the smartphone maker.
