The University of Lagos (UNILAG) is collaborating with 10 other institutions across Africa and the UK will be partnering to launch a £3.5 million renewable energy research to advance sustainable energy transition across Africa.

Under the plan, UNILAG alongside eight universities and two institutions across Africa and the UK will launch the Circular Economy Powered Renewable Energy Centre (CEPREC).

The launch which will take place on February 10, 2025, during a Virtual Press Conference scheduled for 1:00 p.m. The event will introduce CEPREC’s objectives, highlight research and innovation in renewable energy, and explore how collaborations between academia, industry, and government to promote sustainability in energy, according to UNILAG.
