Union Secondary School, Obosi in Anambra State has joined the ranks of smart schools as part of the state’s ongoing education reforms, equipping classrooms and students with modern digital learning tools.
Each classroom has been fitted with projectors and interactive boards to enhance teaching, while a dedicated Information and Communication Technology (ICT) laboratory has been constructed to provide students with hands-on exposure to 21st-century skills. According to officials, computers supplied to the ICT centre will be installed in the coming days.
To ensure uninterrupted learning, the school has also been connected to a renewable energy supply, with a solar power system installed to guarantee reliable electricity for the ICT hub and other facilities.
Mrs. Comfort Ebele Onugha, Principal of Union Secondary School, said the upgrades have transformed the school’s learning environment. “We are happy because of the projects executed in our school, which have made it salubrious for learning. These completed projects have positioned the school to serve the educational needs of students in the 21st century,” she said.
With its ICT infrastructure and sustainable energy supply in place, Union Secondary School, Obosi, is now positioned as a smart school, offering students practical access to digital tools and a modern learning environment, according to officials.
